I have visited The Cornish Bakery a few times on trips to Salisbury. It has a large, open seating area and a fantastic choice of high-quality pastries available.
My first trip was with a friend visiting from Canada. He loves continental pastries, in particular British ones, and so this seemed like a perfect choice. On that occasion, we tried the pistachio croissant, which was fabulous. The coffees were very tasty and there was a nice atmosphere, albeit busy.
My second visit was on a day out for my birthday, and since I had a dinner reservation later on (elsewhere) I didn't want to eat anything too heavy. My partner and I enjoyed a savoury and a sweet pastry each. I had the cheese and bacon croissant, and the lemon curd filled Danish. The croissant was excellent but it would have been even better if it had been hot. The Danish pastry, however, was next-level. The curd was perfectly tart and the fresh, sweet berries on top really complemented this. My partner had a classic sausage roll, followed by a cinnamon pastry. He remained very quiet through his brunch which was a sign he enjoyed it immensely.
Pricing was very reasonable, with the four pastries and two drinks coming to under £12 per person.- Service

Love it here, great vibe, awesome pasty’s and staff! My new favourite spot in town. Decor and vibe is very chilled also, which we love. A bit of a wait, but we were happy to come back as the food is good. :)

1st time visiting today, tables needed to be cleared as it was quite busy but nothing that couldn't be resolved by moving them off the tables ourselves. Hubby had a flat white and a cheese & onion pasty and I had a cheese, bacon and leek pasty with a breakfast tea. Absolutely delicious pasty's, lovely and hot temperature too. Hubby said that the flat white coffee was really flavoursome and done spot on. Really nice decor inside, lovely and spacious too.- Service

We got the traditional pastries, tea pot and the winter bun, all of them were amazing and highly recommended, the service was not perfect as we had to clear the previous table on our own but maybe it’s because it was very crowded in that moment so it’s understandable, the staff was welcoming and suggested the right stuff.

Pistachio croissant was the most delicious thing I have tasted in a while. Would definitely recommend. Iced mocha was a bit underwhelming but tasted ok. All of the food looked good, if I was a local I would always be here.

I am sure that there will be people moaning about no cash policy, but in a fast pacing place like this, and with the ridiculous costs of running business, this choice is right. Also, for anyone ever venturing to other countries, especially Scandinavian ones, most businesses operates exactly like that. 5 stars from me on my day out!- Service
